Lay Institute

C. S. Lewis, Christian Apologist and Layman of the Church of EnglandCTH has developed a program for training people who are not seeking ordination but who want to learn more than is generallly possible in a church setting. Students in the Lay Institute can audit seminary courses at any time without a formal application and without officially enrolling in CTH. Lay students are allowed to attend class, participate in discussions, and take home course handouts without having to do the required work. There is no pressure regarding grades, attendance, or deadlines, but much profit from the lectures and class interaction, at a reduced cost ($150 per course).

Benefits

The Lay Institute provides students with the following advantages

  • A greater knowledge of God’s Word

  • Biblical tools for improving family relationships

  • Increased effectiveness as a lay leader or Sunday School teacher

  • Confidence in presenting the Gospel

  • Reponses to cultural resistance to Christ

  • Answers to liberal arguments against such truths as the Virgin Birth, miracles, and the infallibility of the Scriptures
